ndClick is a Windows or Mac app that enhances the NetDocuments experience of everyday activities, including creating, downloading, sharing, or opening a document or email, and other tasks.

ndClick integrates the web product with desktop environments and applications.

ndClick replaces ndOneClick for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and on Mac, Safari and is a replacement for the Internet Explorer and ActiveX experience.

System Requirements


  • Microsoft Windows 7, 10 (64-bit)
  • .NET 4.6.2
  • Chrome, Edge, or Firefox
  • ndOffice (optional)


  • macOS 10.13 or higher
  • Chrome or Safari

Important Note

For security reasons, administrators should not install ndClick in virtualized environments (e.g., Citrix) or remote desktop environments (RDS). Support for virtualized and RDS environments will be added in a future release.

Download and Install

Install ndClick for Windows

  1. Ensure the account has administrative rights before installation.
  2. Download ndClick.


    Note: This .exe installs .NET 4.6.2 if not previously installed.


    Note: This is the MSI installer, useful in an enterprise deployment.
  3. Double-click the ndClick installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

When running, ndClick appears in the Windows system tray.

Note: Depending on your environment, ndClick may require a firewall exception to function.

Install ndClick for macOS

  1. Ensure you have administrator rights to install ndClick.
  2. Download ndClick.


  3. Double-click the ndClick installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

The ndClick icon appears in the Status bar and is active right away. If NetDocuments is already open in the browser, refresh the page to begin working with ndClick.
