Folder Default Sort Order


By default, folders will sort their contents by Name, in alphabetical order. However, a Cabinet Administrator may change the default sort order for all new folders created in the cabinet.

This is done under the Foldering section on the Cabinet Administration page:


An individual folder may also have its default sort order changed. Users will need A (Administer) rights to the folder to change the default sort order.

To do this, open the folder. Go to Folder Options > Default Sort Order.


The setting selected here will override the cabinet-level setting:


The following sort orders will be available:

  • Name
  • Last Modified date
  • Modified By
  • ID
  • Created Date
  • Created By
  • Extension
  • Any custom profile attribute
