NetDocuments Viewer Information

On March 19, 2015, NetDocuments replaced the viewer technology in the NetDocuments Service.

The new technology improves the display of the most common formats used which are Word and Email messages, in addition to providing other technical benefits.  Most users will more than likely not notice any difference, but will appreciate the improved display for those commonly-used formats.

Other

PDF documents and some image formats (jpeg, gif, png) are displayed in the viewer but are not converted to HTML. These documents are given directly to the browser and we rely on the browser’s ability to display these file types (either natively, or through a plug-in).

Document formats defined by NetDocuments – Discussions, Calendar Events, and Saved Searches – are rendered into HTML by the service.
