Any chance you could combine NDOffice, NDClick, NDSync, and NDMail into a single program that installs easily, only needs to be logged into once, and updates silently with or without local admin credentials?
NetDocuments was pitched as a cloud-based solution that eases administration burdens because it's maintained and secured uniformly by ND on their end. The reality appears to be that, in order to have a reasonable user experience, 4 pieces of software need to be installed and maintained on each workstation. There is effectively no way of allowing users to provision their netdocuments on personal machines given how cumbersome the install and setup process is. The probability of a user installing NDOffice without NDClick or NDClick without NDOffice, for instance, is exceedingly high.
Also, users must login separately for NDClick and NDOffice. If one program silently gets logged out, users might not realize. Since there are in fact two programs, the odds of getting logged out on one is very high. Training users on troubleshooting by instructing them to navigate through multiple pieces of software is less than ideal when there is a lot of more important tasks to go over.
There is no integrated way to force updates or set security settings to even allow updates without admin credentials. Workarounds appear sometimes to be recommended, but they require third-party tools and custom scripting.
