ndOpen in Word or Excel Ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar

It would be great if it could be possible to add an ndOpen button to the Word or Excel ribbon or Quick Access toolbar and avoid having to use the file menu and open from there.

You must have the Backstage disabled, but the option is not intuitive. The box must be checked to disable the backstage:

With this box checked, I have Open and Save buttons on my ribbon that call ndOpen and ndSave:

Hi Jeff,

Since ndOffice utilizes the standard Word/Excel Open feature you should be able to add that to your Quick Access Toolbar. Let us know if that isn't working for you.

Hi Dan -- we have the open button, but it still requires the end user to click on ndOpen -- would be great if it would take us directly back to the ndOffice dialog box - like the Save As one does.  Thank you.

Hi RoxAnn,

It should, at least it does for me. It may be dependent on the version of Office you have. You might also make sure you have the "Don't show the Backstage when opening or saving files" option enabled in your Office settings.
