Email Management defaults - a way to use email fields in custom attributes (e.g. date)

The cabinet admin page has a section for Email Management where admins can set the default profile values for messages imported by EMS, ndOffice, and ndMail.  For example, you can set a default classification of 'Correspondence', or a default Author of 'Email'.

It would be great if the system had a way to use values from the email itself to populate attributes that can't be hard coded as defaults, such as Date.

For example, we have a custom field called Document Date, that lawyers use to order their e-file from most recent to oldest. It would be useful if we could grab the date the email was sent (rather than the date the email was filed) and use it to populate the Document Date field. I'm imagining a token like %d
