Append Version Number and/or Name when attaching to email

I have seen other posts about this feature, but I think it needs more attention.  I'm sending a file to a client - it has the same name as all the versions before it.  The client replies two months later - how do I know which version I sent them immediately (without opening the previous e-mail). This might seem like an impossibility, but if the version information had a check box where I could include it WHEN ATTACHING to the e-mail, this would solve it.  Simple check box.  "Include Version in Filename?"  This would make NetDocuments much easier to use in the real world.  Again, others have mentioned this.  I believe it needs attention.

Hi Chris,

This can be controlled from the Cabinet Administration page, so any cabinet Administrator at your firm can adjust these settings for you. You can include the version number and/or the doc ID in the attachment name. Hope that helps!

Yyyyyyep!   That will do it!  Suggestion to the admins to document that better.  It shows examples of the code, but not examples for how that results.  Also, show that you can put other letters in there, for example:    %n %v  = filename 1    Whereas  %n v%v = filename v1
