Documents Saved to Folders From Outlook Show Immediately - When Saved At Workspace Level They Don't

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix? We can replicate across our enterprise with several version of NDoffice, 1.5-1.7.X.

It take several minutes to show in the All Documents search folder when saved at the workspace level.

Perhaps someone from NetDocs will jump in and correct me if I'm wrong here:  Documents and emails do not show up in saved searches (or any searches) until they are indexed.  Items are generally indexed fairly quickly, but new items are prioritized to be indexed in a certain order.  It is something like individual documents get indexed first, then individual emails, then batch imports of documents, then batch imports of emails.  So if you bring 20 emails in from Outlook at one time, that's going to get a lower indexing priority, and it may take more time before being indexed and showing up on the workspace.  An individual Word document should get the highest indexing priority and show up in less than a minute.  The actual time taken to index depends on the load on the indexer at the time.

I forgot to mention that the reason why items show up in the folder immediately is that they do not need to be indexed first.  The folder just displays whatever items are listed in the folder.  No search is necessary, and so it doesn't matter if the item has been indexed.

Interesting. At my previous firm they were an iManage shop and you couldn't save documents at the workspace level, within folders only. I'm not sure if that was an admin configuration or imposed by iManage.
