Indicator for emails saved using ndSave (same as using EMS Profiler)


Please can you add a column in Outlook to indicate when an email is saved using ndSave.  EMS Profiler has it's own column in Outlook and places "Yes" in the column when email is saved.  And the issue is this, when a user is distracted (easy done) and can't remember if email saved, they save again and this causes duplicates emails in workspace.  Hopefully fixed in 2.0?

Have you all obtained the ndOffice 2.0 beta? It has a per user filing indicator for emails. Our goal with ndOffice 2.0 and 2.1 is to complete the features that were available in EMS Profiler with the long-term attempt replace its features within an integrated suite of features for Microsoft Office and common user interface. The full feature set for an upgrade from EMS Profiler to ndOffice will be realized with ndOffice 2.1.  However, there are some features already added to 2.0 that you can either test and use live or turn them off in the registry and wait for 2.1. 

As to a global filing indicator where one user knows whether another user has already filed that email is a feature of NetDocuments EM   ndOffice 2.1 will not offer that specific ability, among other more advanced features, without the combination of EM and ndOffice. Please check out ndOffice 2.0.

Absolutely! We use ndEmail but have the same issue, when an email is filed using ndEmail there is a flag in Outlook, but not if the user uses ndSave.

Yes please. inconsistent user experience, confusing our users. The EMS ND flag is a great way to manage your mail box so extending the capability to nd save would be very useful.

Elaine, Yes, I agree.  In my view, it should use the same column as EMS Profiler.  From the end user's perspective, one column would show they have saved the email, whichever method they choose to use to save the email - EMS Folders doesn't update such a column either, but it should do.  Not sure why you're seeing duplicate emails in the workspace though - it shouldn't do that.

Yes, please!  In addition, it would be terrific if there was a way to mark the email as having been filed to NetDocuments so that other recipients in the same firm who also receive the email know that it has been filed to NetDocuments.  Then they don't have to spend time trying to file something that has already been filed.

Some sort of pop-up alerting the user the email is already filed would be great.  Right now it appears that ND Office just isn't working.
