ndOffice Mail Merge integration

Please consider providing the ability to perform mail merges directly from NetDocuments as opposed to necessitated the local save of the relevant data files.

  • We would love this feature as well. Seems odd the request was made two years ago and it still hasn't made it any higher on the priority list. What do we need to do it move it up?

    If you would like to see an Idea implemented the best thing you can do is vote on the Idea.  You can click the up arrow to the left of the original post to cast your vote.  The more votes an Idea has, the better chance it has of getting implemented. There are other things that also come into play though, such as the difficulty or implementation for example.  There is some more information on how the IdeaBank works here:

    All - if you want the integration for ndOffice and Mail Merge, we need to VOTE on that to make it move up the list.  Please see Dan Duncan's info below on voting for this. It seems like we've posted but perhaps not voted. :)

  • This is also something we would like to have.  We have a few people upset that it isn't a feature, since they used it in iManage previously.

  • I have a firm that uses Word and Excel mail merge extensively and because the data source has to "reside" outside of NetDocument, the fluid documents are not getting updated unless every time you make a change to the data source you open every document associated with this data source and save the Word version in NetDocuments.  If this is not done for every document, you run the risk of emailing old information.
