This would be nice so you can see by name how the documents preview because a lot of the time documents start with the same naming convention so to sort by name it would help to find all of the same documents but in the workspace summary view.
Workspace Filters Default Sort
It would be nice to able to change the default sort of the "Blue Folders" in WorkSpaces so it's not always by last modified date.

We currently name our files by year/month/day. It would be very helpful to always see the most recent files by name directly underneath each blue folder (filter) instead of having the order of the files changed in our workspaces as a result of the default sorting capability of NetDocuments being limited to only sorting files by their last modified date.
This is quite negatively affecting our workflow today, because:
- All of our files are named in the same way, and
- The present functionality (default sorting by last modified date) requires us to change to display by "Name" every time we load a filter within our workspace
Please provide the option to sort files alphabetically, by default, within filters.
This default setting is making us very inefficient. Are there any plans in the near future to fix this problem?
It makes no sense that the filters are not arranged alphabetically. For one prospect client currently looking at ND, I've had to create a workspace template, only purpose being to order the classifications alphabetically, all 41 of them so NOT practical at all. Users have had 30 years of using applications where everything is listed alphabetical. PLEASE can this be added to 15.2
I completely concur. One of our most recent top requests at my firm is to have the ability to sort Workspace filters by "Name", because we use standard naming conventions. Switching to list view, or clicking into the filter to display the document list first, then sorting by name, slows down our processes. Please add this functionality soon!
I'm surprised that this has not yet been addressed. I completely agree that this would be a much used feature. Please implement in the next update!
We use the 'Date Stamp" profile option, and it would be great if our users could use that profile option to default sort a filter. We can sort folders using the Date Stamp option, why not the filters?
Are we still not able to sort document type filters alphabetically?
I don't think this is just about filters, because customers also use searches and folders inside workspaces too.
It would be more intuitive and consistent to have an option to present the components of a workspace in the same sequence as ndWeb, i.e. as specified in the workspace template and/or as customized by the end users.
This is in BOTH the ndOffice folder pane (to the left) and the list pane (to the right).
Ideally, it should also be an option for the end user, to set a default to use:-
1) the sort order in ndWeb
2) a preferred sort order (field name and up/down).
