Edit Send Links Email Format

Current version [17.1] auto-format of the email generated with the Email Link button formats the email with a large gap at the start and unwanted spaces between the itemed links. Users would like ability to be able to edit out the gap and spaces for future emails rather than the current format of having to edit each email generated.

This is something NetDocuments will be correcting.  The large gap at the top and bottom will be removed and the gaps between each listed document will be shortened.  Once the update has been made, I will add a note on this page.

Chris,

This change was made to allow a user to add a note before each document, which was not possible before.  We will try to tweak this so there is less space at the top and bottom of the email and perhaps reduce the height of the spaces in between and the height of each document.

Dave,

Apologies. I'm not sure what you mean that the add note feature should be the font height.  By gap are you referring to th gap between documents or the gap above?  This change only applies when there are multiple documents, btw.

Seems to be in every link sent by our users today in single or multiple files.

By font height, I coyly meant, "height of the font" and not "height of the font plus a large, blank gap".

Hi Chris

I've noticed the distance is perfect if you insert link from ND Attach in Outlook and agree if you choose Email Link from the Web UI the gap is too large and you need to delete a few lines.  Just my observation!

I agree - the gap and the top should go completely.  What does it offer?  The space between documents for notes seems unnecessary to me, and it is not something our users have asked for.

The large gap at the top of emails has been noted by users here and has not been received well. The spacing seems unnecessary and makes viewing on portable devices less user friendly.

Please REMOVE THIS ASAP! my workplace is in chaos over this. NO WORK IS GETTING DONE.

Anyways, my work around is to hold [ctrl + q] to take that margin away.

This format of the email has been changed.  We have not reverted to the prior format, but we have eliminated the large gap at the top and bottom of the email and substantially reduced the size of the gap between each document.

As noted before, we had received requests from many clients to include a small gap between the listed documents to allow a note to be added before each document.  We believe the revised format will accomplish this purpose without impacting emails where such notes are not included.
