Follow a document to which you have no edit rights.

You cannot currently "follow" a document to which you have view rights, but no edit rights. It is unclear why there would be such a limitation. We have master documents which are "view only" which we use as forms. However, administration changes them from time to time and it is important to most users to know when a new version has been released. Then any work in progress can incorporate the change. While administration can notify users of the changes, the automated response to all interested users afforded by "follow" would be even better. Please allow changes to documents which are only viewable to a user to be "followed" by that user. Thank you.

This is definitely something that has real world benefit - not only for forms, but for other documents with relevant information with limited editors such as floor maps, phone lists, employee manuals and policies. I second Wayne's request: "Please allow changes to documents which are only viewable to a user to be "followed" by that user."
