The 18.3 Update will be released at the following times:
US datacenter: 11 October 2018 at 11:59 PM US Eastern time (EDT).
EU datacentre: 11 October 2018 at 10:00 PM London time (BST).
AU datacentre: 11 October 2018 at 2:00 AM Australian Eastern Time (AEST).

User Update Notes
Workspaces now contain tabs, which are described below.
The Overview Tab contains the workspace logo, workspace description, and any web pages defined for the workspace:
The Documents Tab contains all information previously displayed in the workspace, including Summary View and List View:
The Documents Tab is the default tab displayed when navigating to the workspace.
Currently, only the Overview and Documents tabs will appear on the workspace. Additional tabs will be available in the future, and may contain other NetDocuments products such as ndThread and Collaboration Spaces (additional fees may apply for these add-on products).
Users can now provide a name for document versions. When creating a new version (through Upload new version, Check in as new version, etc.), the user will be prompted to provide a version name:
Each version name will be stored with the document, and can be viewed in the Details Pane:
Version names can be searched on the Advanced Search page:
When using Auto-version, a user will not be prompted to enter a new version name when a version is automatically created, but a version name can be added manually.
When clicking on a PDF document name, users can now have the PDF opened in a browser window instead of loading them in the native application:
This functionality was previously only available in Internet Explorer. It is now available in all browsers.
When Advanced Filing is enabled, users can now file a document from any location in NetDocuments:
Previously, documents could only be filed from within folders.
Administrator Update Notes
The following information is for system administrators.
Determined by Profile Fields
Profile Attributes whose contents are determined by another attribute’s value can now have lookup tables. Previously, when selecting the Determined by dependency, all attribute settings were disabled. Administrators can now define a lookup table for the values in the Determined by field:
Beta Testing Information
The Beta Testing Period for 18.3 starts 20 September 2018. See our Beta Announcement for more information.
As always during a beta test, issues may be found which may require us to adjust the actual release date of the Update.
End of Life Information
Please review the Announcements section for EOL information for other software and components.
All new or updated NetDocuments client software can be installed during the week prior to the release of 18.3 or can be installed after the Update to ensure that the most recent version is installed. (Any previous versions of these add-ins should be removed prior to updating them). You should install the latest version of the client software so that you have the most up-to-date software.
We strongly recommend that you update all client software. For current versions of all available client software, please see the Links to Client Downloads page. All available downloads and add-ins can be found under the Downloads and Integrations section.
As with all of our client software, we only support the latest version available. We strongly recommend that you download and install the latest version of each add-in client software that you are using.
Prior versions will NOT be supported and use of them may result in errors or possibly data loss in some instances. If you experience an issue with an updated version, please contact NetDocuments Support. If you are using an older version and experience issues, please understand that changes and fixes will be provided only for the most recently released version. If you encounter problems with a previous version, you will be required to update the software to resolve the issue.
