ndOffice Interface Overview
ndOffice dialog boxes function similar to standard Microsoft Office dialog boxes. At the top of the Open, Save As, or Attach dialog boxes, there is a breadcrumb that shows the parent tree of the selected location. Select any parent level to go back to that location.
To view the list of COM add-ins in any Microsoft Office application, go to File > Options > Add-Ins. Microsoft Office attempts to manage these add-ins and sometimes disables an add-in that takes longer than expected to load. Because many factors can impact how long the add-in might take to load, and ndOffice cannot work correctly if the add-in is disabled, ndOffice monitors the Windows registry to see if any of the ndOffice add-ins are disabled.
If the add-in is disabled, ndOffice issues a warning notification wherein you can click the corresponding button to re-enable the disabled add-in which takes effect after restarting the Microsoft Office application in question. If a user ignores this warning, a message stays at the top of the Activity Center to alert you that one or more add-ins are disabled. Clicking this message restores the dialog box that re-enables the add-in.
Customize ndOffice Dialog Box View
With ndOffice 2.7, all dialog boxes and menu options are available in English, German, French, and Spanish. Use the registry setting to change the language.
ndOffice Activity Center
The Activity Center helps you keep track of all your activity in ndOffice, across all applications. The Activity Center pops up from the Windows tray when you click the ndOffice icon.

Navigating in ndOffice

For more information, see Customize ndOffice Dialog Box View.
Offline Mode
NetDocuments is working to improve the offline capabilities of ndOffice. When you face internet connection problems, work locally on your documents using ndOffice to ensure maintaining a smooth and reliable experience without possible data loss.
If there are errors from NetDocuments when working with a document, rather than a complete failure, we’ll show the dialog but show inline connection messages because of a connection issue, or some problem with the service.
For more information, see ndOffice Offline Mode and Internet Connectivity.
ndOffice Echo Folder
If you lose your Internet connection when you try to save the document, ndOffice automatically saves the most recent document to the Echo folder and uploads it to NetDocuments once you restore your Internet connection. For more information, see ndOffice Echo Folder.
ND Compare
By leveraging the Microsoft Word Compare features, compare two documents – either documents in NetDocuments (separate documents or versions) or documents on a local file system.
See the ndOffice ND Compare topic for more information.
