Before installing the application with the .msi installer, meet all setup requirements. The ndMail .exe installer takes care of all setup prerequisites. Additionally, with the .exe setup, you can set up the ndMail Folder Mapping functionality. For more information, see ndMail Folder Mapping.

  5. In the Completed the NetDocuments ndMail Setup Wizard dialog box, click Finish.

To get the download for the client:

Once you have purchased the ndMail add-on, NetDocuments sends an email that includes the download to your organization. The install is either installed automatically to all clients or you might have to install it to your client. If you need to install it, follow the steps below.

  7. To perform the all-user installation, add ALLUSERS=""'.

After installing ndMail, the ShowExtOutlookFeatures and PromptFileEmails registries are added with False values, or, if these registries already exist, these values are changed to False in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NetVoyage\NetDocuments hive. Thus, the following ndOffice features in Outlook will be suppressed:

  • The ND Send group (contains Send & File).
  • The Suggested Locations and Private Access button on the ND Save The ND Save button will still be there and Suggested Locations will still be in the dialog box.
  • ND COLUMN – If this value was already displayed from an earlier version, you must remove it manually.

Note: Registry changes take effect after exiting the ndOffice application.
