ndOffice Update - November 16, 2015 - All Datacenters

Planned Subsequent Update

For your planning purposes, the next regular Update for ndOffice (version 1.8) is planned for March 2016. We will inform you if this plan changes as we get closer to the date. We are providing this information to assist you as much as possible in your planning and administration of the NetDocuments Service for your organization. 

While our next regular update to ndOffice is going to be 1.8, due in early 2016 with several enhancements, this Update includes two enhancements and two bug fixes. We are not changing the autoupdate for this, rather we are distributing it to customers only via the Help download page.

New Features:

It fully supports Office 2016 now.

Users can now select multiple documents to attach to an Outlook message, and be able to choose individual versions or compared attachments for those documents.

Users also now have an option to select a cabinet in the navigation settings. When the dialog opens in these cases, the navigation pane will be pre-selected to the designated cabinet, and the user can simply complete the document profile, rather than choose a location and have the profile values be inherited.

There is also a fixed bug related to the Last Used Location option in the navigation dialog. (this fix was also available in the previous 1.7.2 Update.)

A bug is also fixed in this where Outlook could lock up in some cases when a message was opened twice in succession.

If you are using a previous version and experience any issues, we recommend that you install this new supported version to ensure the best operation of the Add-in.  This update adds the last bug fix described above to the previously available 1.7.2 Update.
