Administrative Activity Log



Repository Administrators have the ability to run a report of all administrative changes made by administrators. 

To request an activity log, go to Admin > Request Activity Logs:


The request page will display as follows. 


Select "Administration Activity" from the drop-down menu. For a user-level activity log, select the Consolidated Activity option. 

The email address defaults to the current user’s email address. The date range defaults to the first and last dates of the previous month. The beginning date cannot be more than 90 days prior to the current date, and the end date cannot be later than the current date or earlier than the beginning date.

Clicking Cancel returns you to the Repository Administration menu page. If you click OK on the Request Activity Logs page, a request is submitted. 

The activity records are sent as an XML attachment in an email message. We suggest that you open the file in Excel or a database program such as SQL or Access to have the data in an easy-to-read format. 

NOTE: If you have not printed the logging data within the 90-day window, it is no longer available prior to that. So you should print a report at least every 90 days in order to not miss data that has been generated for the logging file.

The Administrative Activity report or log will include a list of certain administrative changes that have taken place. 

These actions include:

  • Add a new user
  • Remove a user
  • Change a user's membership type (external/internal)
  • Cabinet administrators can add external members checkbox
  • Create new group
  • Delete group 
  • Cabinet deletion (logs the user and the time)
  • Add a new cabinet admin
  • Allow permanent deletion of documents option
  • Add or remove a group to the groups allowed to use the multi-doc download option

Other administrative changes may be included in the log in future updates.
