When you download the latest versions of EMS Folders and EMS Profiler (and ndOffice as well), these programs will use an oAuth authentication protocol to log you in to your ND account. After you log in, you will be asked if you want to allow the add-in to connect with your ND account. Once you click Allow, it won’t prompt you to log in again for 12 months.
If you ever need to log out of one of these add-ins or prevent one of them from connecting to your account, you will need to go to your NetDocuments account and click "Settings > Manage App Access" and Revoke permission for the App.
The next time you open Outlook, you’ll then be prompted to sign in with your credentials. The same also applies to any other app that uses oAuth, such as ndOffice.
NOTE: Because the authentication tokens are placed in the registry and are valid for 12 months, IP address restrictions may not apply. If the user logs in outside the IP restrictions, if the authentication tokens are still valid, they will be able to log in to ndOffice.
