Internet Explorer crashes with newebcl.dll error

If you are getting an error message in NetDocs that says "Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" or something similar and it references the newebcl.dll file, you can follow these steps to clear this up:

  1. Check in all closed documents one at a time, log out of NetDocs and close the web browser.
  2. Open up the Echo Folder (Start > Programs > NetDocuments Check-In List > View Echo Folder).
  3. Rename the Echo Folder to something like "NDechoOLD" (You can delete this folder later).
  4. Open up the Task Manager and end the nenote.exe process.
  5. Reboot the computer.
